Following the success of The Engine Rooms, JSA Design were approached by Pub Culture to assist in the design of their new site on Newcastle's Quayside - Charts. 

 

Charts comprises of a three-storey building which stands proudly on the banks of the Tyne, in the heart of the city’s business district and with beautiful riverside views.

The listed building underwent a 14-week restoration which saw the interior transformed and the building brought back to life after seven years sitting derelict. 

 

The name Charts was derived from the building's historic use as a map house for sailors setting off from the Tyne. Charts retains the map house's exposed brick walls, while the huge windows offer guests stunning views of the river. Bringing together traditional and modern, this is a truly stunning new bar, offering something for discerning music, food and drink lovers.
